NEW MODES AND FEATURES

Any new content or change is welcome if done right. With that in mind, let’s take a look at all the EA Sports FC 25 info regarding the new modes, features and options EA has in store for us in the upcoming EA Sports FC 25.

Rush Game Mode

EA Sports FC 25 will introduce “Rush”, a dynamic 5v5 game mode that focuses on speed and attack, moving away from the street-style play of past modes such as Volta. Played on a regulation-sized pitch, Rush eliminates complex tactics in favour of fast-paced, end-to-end gameplay. This mode alters the traditional rules by placing the offside line at the final third and introduces blue cards, which temporarily remove players from the pitch for fouls. Rush will be available in a number of different modes, including Ultimate Team, Clubs and Kick-Off, allowing EA FC veterans and newcomers alike to take on this new type of challenge.

Rewritten Career Mode

EA Sports FC 25

Career mode in EA Sports FC 25 has been significantly redesigned to provide a better experience than ever before. The mode now includes expanded scouting options, allowing you to find and recruit future stars from a wider pool of talent through the Youth Academy. There will also be improvements to the player morale system, which will be influenced by real world data and individual player attitudes. Women’s football has also been integrated into the Career mode for the first time, further enhancing the inclusivity of the game. Icons e.g. Zidane, Ronaldo Nazario and Beckham will now be playable in the Player Career, while some of the Icons can be used as the managers in the Manager Career. The Career mode will also be more customisable than ever before, with things like how the weather will affect the game or how an opposing CPU AI will behave. Another nice addition will be the improved match intros, which will include cinematic sizzles, player walk-ins and line-ups.

Updates to Clubs Mode

Significant updates have also been made to the Clubs mode in FC 25. With the introduction of the Store, players will be able to earn “Club Coins” by playing matches and spend them on cosmetic items for the Virtual Pro they control. This includes things like gloves, sleeves, etc. There will also be a limit on how high your Virtual Pro can be. The maximum height you can choose is capped at 195cm (6’5″). Another notable change is the return of Relegation Battle, which adds a layer of risk for teams that underperform during the season. Last but not least, EA has promised a more balanced matchmaking system, which will now prioritise finding clubs with similar Skill Rating.

Players Shaped by Stories

We will be able to personalise our player’s physicality much more, as well as choosing their story to shape them. This will also have an effect on statistics, for example. For example, if we choose to play the ball in the street, our dribbling will increase, but our ability to make long passes will decrease.

MAJOR GAMEPLAY CHANGES

FC 25 will introduce a number of innovative gameplay changes aimed at improving the realism of the football experience. What are they? We bring this sort of EA Sports FC 25 info all in one place here.

FC IQ Tactical System

The introduction of the FC IQ Tactical System marks a significant change in the way players will be able to strategise during matches. When talking about FC IQ, we can distinguish its three main pillars: Player Roles, Team Tactics and Smart Tactics.

  • The first is using the new AI technology to change the way your players think and move on the football pitch. Here’s an example: a regular CDM with the “Deep-Playing Playmaker” role selected will always stay in position and look for an opportunity to contribute to the team’s build-up.
EA 25 FC IQ Tactical System
  • The second is based on three aspects like Formation, Build-up style, and Defensive Approach. This new visual layout of Team Tactics replaces the old one “Attacking/Balanced/Defensive”. Team Tactics also gives you access to presets based on the teams from the real world of football. Once you have set everything up, you will also receive a pop-up showing the positive and negative effects of your choices.
  • The latter revolves around the idea of on-the-fly tactical changes you can make during a match using the D-pad. From there, you can access any of your own customisation presets, or go with the popular ones. The Smart Tactics feature remains intact, analysing the current state of the match and offering suggestions whenever necessary. Any tactical changes you make during the match will also be commented on by Smart Tactics.

Manual Goalkeeper Movement Restriction

In response to community feedback, EA FC 25 introduces restrictions on manual goalkeeper movement. Goalkeepers will now only be able to move one to two steps in each direction, with a cooldown period to prevent overuse. This change aims to increase the realism of goalkeeper behaviour, making the game more challenging and strategic, especially during critical moments such as set pieces.

New Corner Kick Assignments

EA FC 25 New Corner Kick Assignments

EA Sports FC 25 brings a new twist to corner kicks with the introduction of specific player assignments. Players can assign specific roles to their teammates during corner kicks, such as target player, near post and back post. This feature allows for more strategic set-pieces, giving players the opportunity to effectively utilise their team’s aerial strengths and tactical set-pieces.

Updates to PlayStyles

The PlayStyles feature has been updated to reflect real-world data, offering a more detailed approach to player attributes and skills. Each PlayStyle now has a distinct impact on the game and how players perform on the pitch. This update allows for a more personalised and authentic gameplay experience, where player choices have a significant impact on the outcome of matches.

New HyperMotionV Technology

Available on next-generation platforms, HyperMotionV technology brings a new level of realism to EA Sports FC 25. Using motion capture data from over 180 professional matches, this technology accurately recreates the dynamics of real-world football. The enhanced Frostbite engine amplifies this to deliver beautiful animations and an immersive match day experience. It seems that this new HyperMotionV technology is a reflection of EA’s commitment to act on the feedback they have received from the community.

New “Professional” Fouls

A “professional foul” will be introduced, i.e. deliberately neutralising an opponent’s attack by committing a foul (key combination R2+X for PlayStation or RT+A for Xbox), which will automatically result in at least a yellow card.

ULTIMATE TEAM UPDATES

The most popular game mode, Ultimate Team, will also see significant changes and improvements. But will the Ultimate Team experience really be better in FC 25? Read on to find out what’s sort of EA Sports FC 25 info we have on the UT mode.

Enhanced Rivals Mode

In a major update to Rivals mode, the overall number of checkpoints will be reduced, so that players don’t get stuck in a Division with someone more or less skilled than themselves. It will also be possible to be relegated when competing in the highest divisions. Another change is the way you qualify for rewards in Rivals. This will now be based on the number of points you collect rather than wins. This means that those hard-fought draws will have an impact on your ability to receive potentially higher rewards. Last but not least, your progress in EA FC 24, or more specifically the division you last reached in the previous instalment, will now be the starting point for your Rivals journey in FC 25. This means that more experienced players won’t have to start from scratch and will be able to earn higher level rewards more quickly.

Icons, Lots of Icons

EA Sports 25 Icons

As is the case with every new release of EA Sports games (formerly known as FIFA games), every year new names are added to the Ultimate Team “Hall of Fame”, giving fans legendary players from different eras to play with. This time (rumour has it) the 22 new names will be inducted into the UT Icons category. And this time (again, a rumour), Icon Managers will also be included in Ultimate Team 25. Such managers would have an extra influence on the chemistry following the player cards, nationality, leagues and clubs. Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Del Bosque and more – if you ask us, it doesn’t get any better than this (if it turns out to be true, of course)!

Updated Friendlies Mode

The Friendlies mode in FC 25 is designed to be a more casual space, ideal for experimenting with new squads and tactics without the pressure of competition, stakes etc. The matchmaking system has been adjusted to pair players based on their winning form, creating a level playing field and allowing for a more relaxed experience. This mode is now the perfect testing ground to Evo your favourite players and/or complete Objectives.

Storage for Duplicate Players

EA FC 25 Storage for Duplicate Players

A new feature in Ultimate Team is the Duplicate Storage option, which allows players to store up to 100 duplicates of non-tradable players. This change addresses the common frustration of managing duplicates and allows for smoother gameplay by allowing players to use these duplicates in Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) without disrupting the flow of opening packs.

More Evolutions Opportunities

The Evolutions feature in UT 25 will be expanded to provide more frequent and varied opportunities for player upgrade. The system has been redesigned to be less restrictive, allowing players to evolve their favourite players more often and more easily. The customisation options for evolution items have also been improved, including visual changes to animations and the addition of sound effects, making the evolution process more fun.

Adjustments to Contracts

EA FC 25 removes the need for player and manager contracts, simplifying the game and reducing administrative tasks that can distract from the core gameplay. This change allows players to focus more on the strategic aspects of team management and gameplay, improving the overall Ultimate Team experience. In short, unnecessary contracts are gone, necessary praises are in order (although let’s face it, contracts should have been removed a long time ago).

LATEST NEWS

As each day goes by and the launch of EA Sports FC 25 gets closer and closer, there are more and more leaks, rumours and news coming in and out. This is where you’ll find all the latest EA Sports FC 25 info, but one that’s not necessarily related to aspects such as actual offers, game modes and gameplay.

Cover Star of EA FC 25

Cover Star of EA FC 25

It’s no longer a secret who will be on the cover of EA Sports FC in September 2024. It’s Real Madrid all-star Jude Bellingham, of course. That’s no small news, because if you pre-order the Ultimate Team Edition of EA FC 25 before 20 August, you’ll be able to play Jude for 10 matches as he’s the Cover Star Player. His performances for Los Blancos last season were outstanding and we’re sure that this will translate to his OVR in the game, which is another reason why you should get him on this occasion.

Community-Driven Changes

EA’s commitment to responding to player feedback is evident in the introduction of several community-driven changes in EA FC 25. The development team has already implemented a much-requested nerf to goalkeeper movement, with a cooldown period to prevent exploitation. In addition, the new storage feature is a very welcome addition as it eliminates the need to get rid of cards that may be much needed in the later released SBCs. HyperMotionV may well be another example of EA listening to the player base, but it remains to be seen how it will actually improve the core gameplay of FC 25. One thing is for sure, EA have taken steps to act as everyone around them expected them to act as the leading developer of the most popular football game on the market.

Player Feedback Portal

The Player Feedback Portal, now in beta, has been instrumental in gathering valuable insight from the community. The portal allows players to report issues and suggest improvements in various game modes within EA Sports FC games. Looking ahead, EA Sports FC 25 is set to receive a series of planned seasonal updates that promise to keep the game fresh and engaging, as is the case of each year. This is said to be executed in coherence to the Player Feedback Portal, which is an ongoing project providing constant loads of valuable data to the developers.

Changing Weather

Dynamically changing weather is another new feature in EA FC 25. For example, the first half can end at sunset and the second half can start at night.

New Heroes in UT 25

New Heroes in UT 25

As every year, a dose of new Ultimate Team Heroes will be injected with the debut of the new EA FC game. This time the list includes players such as: Hazard, Matuidi, Georges, Guti, Ze Roberto, Maicon, Carragher, Williams, Tim Howard, Stam, Hamsik, Sasic and Noor.

Tweaking Stadium Exterior

The Ultimate Team 24 and previous editions already allowed to customise the stadium to your liking – namely stadium interior. However, from now on it will be possible to customise the exterior of the stadiums in the UT 25. On top of that some clubs like Real Madrid will feature their new/refreshed stadium like the new Santiago Bernabeu!

Mascots During Matches

In the new version of EA Sports FC Ultimate Team, a club’s mascot will occasionally appear during cutscenes, such as when you score a goal, and interact with your players. We suspect this will only happen if a mascot is on the sideline and your player is near that area, but we’ll have to wait and see how it all works out.

Adjustable Wind Option

Apparently, in EA FC 25 it will be possible to adjust the wind from calm to strong. This is supposed to affect the trajectory of the ball in the air. It remains to be seen how this option will affect the actual game experience, but it sounds pretty serious.

“Here We Go”

EA Sports FC 25

EA Sports FC 25’s Career Mode will feature news and gossip about player transfers to be announced by none other than Fabrizio Romano. He is a popular Italian journalist who is known for announcing big transfers before anyone else.

New Club Licences

As every year, some clubs will be officially licensed and will have real club logos and kits, while others will be out of luck and their licensing will end upon a particular release of EA’s FC game (formerly FIFA games). This year, Italian clubs Napoli, Roma, Atalanta and Lazio will be granted licences, while Inter will be stripped of theirs. That’s not all though, as some nationalities will suffer the same fate, and so far it has been confirmed that Cameroon will receive an official licence.

The Cranium System and AI

The “Cranium” system, with its machine learning algorithm, will be able to better reproduce the player’s gameplay throughout the game. In practice, this means that we will get much more realistic – and certainly much more than the generic versions – faces of players and footballers who have not yet been scanned by a special machine.

Overused Formation in FC 24 Removed

It’s now official that the most popular formation in EA FC 24, the 4-3-2-1, will not be included in FC 25. In addition, EA Sports has decided to remove the CF positions as CAMs will replace CFs. Finally, LB and RB positions will replace all LWB and RWB positions. This is huge news, but EA must have a clear intention as to why they are making these changes. Hopefully it will be a positive change, but we’ll have to wait and see.

CONCLUSION

Everyone may have their own opinion of EA, but there’s no denying that the changes mentioned above could very well mark the beginning of a new era in which EA’s FC games adapt to player feedback and continually evolve into a better product.

On that note, there’s a lot more EA Sports FC 25 info to come than the ones we’ve already mentioned, so be sure to check back here from time to time, as we’ll be constantly updating this article before EA FC 25 launches!
